Welcome to Issue 7 of Newsaddict, our monthly guide to direct marketing and lead generation success.

CTPS
The Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS) has grown dramatically since it was established in June 2004. Over one million companies are now registered with that number growing 1-2% every single week. The CTPS is the central opt-out register whereby companies can register their wish not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls. It is a legal requirement that companies do not make such calls to numbers registered on the CTPS.
It is imperative for you to run a check of all your phone numbers in your database against the CTPS or you could be liable to a £5000 fine if you ring a registered company.
